Garage Door Repair in Cincinnati
We repair garage doors across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky 24 hours a day, and most repairs are finished on the first visit. Every call starts with a free 21-point safety inspection and a written report, so you find out what is actually wrong before you decide anything. If the door can be repaired rather than replaced, that is what we quote.
Most garage door problems come down to a handful of parts: springs, cables, rollers, hinges, the opener, or the track alignment. They fail in fairly predictable ways, and the symptom usually points straight at the cause.
The reason this trade has a reputation problem is that a homeowner standing in the driveway has no way to verify what they are being told. You cannot see the state of a cable drum or a bearing plate from the ground. That is why we hand over the inspection findings in writing, including the parts we checked and found fine.

We check all 21 points, hand you the written findings, and tell you what does not need fixing. There is no charge and no obligation to book work.
Signs to look for
How do I know this is the problem?
- The door will not open or close at all
- The door reverses immediately after touching the floor
- Grinding, scraping or squealing during travel
- The door is crooked or one side hangs lower
- The door comes off the track
- The remote works but the wall button does not, or the other way round
- The door closes then immediately opens again
- Gaps at the bottom letting in weather, leaves or mice
What happens
What we actually do
- 1
You call and describe the symptom
We can usually narrow it to two or three likely causes over the phone, which tells us what to bring.
- 2
Free 21-point safety inspection
Springs, cables, drums, bearings, rollers, hinges, brackets, track alignment, weather seal, opener force and travel settings, and the photo-eye reversal test.
- 3
You get the findings in writing, with a price
Including what is fine, what is worth watching, and what needs doing now. You decide. There is no charge if you decide not to proceed.
- 4
We complete the repair, usually the same visit
We stock the common failure parts — springs, cables, rollers, hinges, bearings, standard openers — so most jobs do not need a second trip.
Cost
How we price a repair
The inspection is free and comes with no obligation. After it, the price depends on which parts have actually failed, whether the door is single or double, and whether a failed part damaged anything downstream — a snapped cable that let the door drop, for instance, often bends the bottom section and the track. You get the number before work starts.

Worth knowing
Why this matters
A garage door is the heaviest moving object in most homes, and in Cincinnati it is also the main entrance for a large share of households. When it fails it usually fails with a car inside, which is why we run 24 hours rather than a next-available-appointment model.
Questions
Garage door repair questions we get asked
How much does garage door repair cost in Cincinnati?
It depends entirely on which part failed, and we will not quote a number sight-unseen because doing so means either overpricing you or discovering a second problem and revising upward. What we can tell you is that the diagnosis is free: the 21-point inspection costs nothing and you get the written findings whether or not you book the work.
Do you charge for a call-out or an estimate?
No. The visit and the 21-point safety inspection are free, including the written report, and there is no obligation to book work afterwards.
Is it worth repairing an old door or should I replace it?
Usually repair. A door with a sound structure and no rusted-through sections is worth keeping, and a spring, cable and roller replacement costs a fraction of a new door. Replacement makes sense when the bottom section has rusted through, when multiple panels are creased, or when the door is uninsulated and the garage is attached to living space. We will tell you which case you are in.
How fast can you get here?
We run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Response time depends on where you are in the metro and what is already booked, but broken springs and doors stuck open with a car inside are treated as emergencies.
Do you work on Northern Kentucky addresses?
Yes. Covington, Newport, Florence, Fort Thomas, Erlanger, Independence, Union and the rest of Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties are all inside our normal service area, and they are not a surcharge zone.
My door works but it is getting loud. Is that urgent?
Not usually urgent, but it is worth catching. Most new noise comes from dry or worn rollers, loose hinges, or bearings starting to fail — all cheap to fix now and all capable of causing a more expensive failure if ignored. Grinding specifically is worth looking at soon.
